It’s been a very good day.
This little boy came charging into my room bursting with excitement and pride. He has been writing today and has written a whole page of writing for the first time. I don’t know if you can read it on the picture but not only is there lots of it but it is also very well written with great ideas, good word choices and some great punctuation. Perhaps you could congratulate him when you see him in school? I know he would be thrilled to bits.
The children in school are working very hard on their reading. This young man came to see me today with his new book. I thought that it was a very hard book but he read it to me so carefully and quite confidently. He is doing so well and we are really proud of him.
This boy came to me today and read some pages from his book. It has been hard for him to read well, especially since English is not his first language, but he has persevered and is making really good progress.
I was thinking about this. I don’t know about you but I can’t speak a word of Chinese let alone read it! I am sure you will agree that he is doing exceptionally well. I know he is proud of himself and I look forward to meeting up with him again when I am sure he will be even better.
I am being inundated by visits from children who are in Nursey and Reception. Once again a young man has come from the Nursery to show me his AMAZING writing. I can’t believe how well our youngest children are getting on with this tricky skill.
The only problem is, it feels like a long time since I saw any of the older children! The younger children are putting them to shame!
I am so thrilled with the work I am seeing. Perhaps some of the older children can come and show me what they are doing too??
It’s only Monday morning and already this young man has made me very happy. He came to find me bursting with pride and beaming from ear to ear! He has been studying plants and growing and has produced this piece of writing which shows that he has been list Ning and thinking very carefully.
It is full of facts and clearly written with some excellent choices of words. It is well planned so that it is easy to follow and makes sense.
It is a bit tricky to read on this photo but I am sure that he will be happy to show you it himself if you ask him.
More good news. These two boys came to see me bringing their amazing writing. They have been thinking about trains and journeys and have both done some beautiful writing. Mrs. Gee told me that they have worked extremely hard and the evidence is there for all of us to see. Don’t you love the happy, proud faces?
I have had a lovely afternoon. Mr. Houghton brought these two young men from Nursery to see me with their number work. They are only four years old but already they can recognise these numbers and sort them into the correct order. We are so proud of them. What do you think?
I thought I would show you two of the amazing cakes that are being auctioned after school
today for Sport Relief. Sometimes the staff deserve a pat on the back too!
Today has been so exciting with lots and lots of fantastic things taking place in school for Sport Relief. Part of this was a sponsored mile with all children running round and round the field for this good cause.
However, one little girl has really shown us all how it should be done. This little girl is in Nursery and she has just run round and round the field WITHOUT STOPPING for FORTY MINUTES!!!! Can you believe that? Puts us all to shame doesn’t it?
